Treating Diaper Rash
While no parent would want to see their baby suffer from any sort of pain, babies normally suffer from diaper rash. Before the rashes come to worst, it would be great to look for effective ways of treating diaper rashes.
Make sure your baby bag has rash creams on it that could help in getting rid of those itchy diaper rashes. However, you should understand that diaper rash ointment is not always the best treatment. It mainly depends on the case of your baby. Some experts also recommend natural ways of treating diaper rashes ideal for the baby’s soft and sensitive skin.
Instead of baby wipes, it is better to use baby washcloth when wiping the butt of your baby. Certain brands of baby wipes contain irritating ingredients that often result to diaper rash.
Putting colloidal oatmeal on your baby’s bath would also be a great idea. Colloidal oatmeal is known to reduce itchiness and inflammation of diaper rash. Do not use perfumes in giving your baby a bath, it can harm his or her skin.
After taking a bath, you can leave your baby naked for a few minutes to let his or her skin breathe. Putting diaper right after taking a bath would most likely cause irritation to the skin. Diapers can block moisture and bacteria to the skin causing more diaper rashes to appear.
As much as possible, do not use synthetic products on your baby’s skin. Use natural products as these are the best for a sensitive baby skin.
